Where to compete?

There are 4 levels or rally competition to consider. Two are basic, inexpensive and your bucket will be ready to compete in with a basic safety inspection. The second two increase the cost of car prep with the associated sanctioning bodies, entry cost, cost to run in terms of wear and tear, potential damage, fuel and travel are also higher.

The 2 "basic" levels to compete in with the lowest associated costs are rallycross and TSD (Time Speed Distance) rallies.

To compete in a proper stage rally you'll need the car log booked. The cage and safety equipment will cost twice of what your bucket budget did. That isn't to say it isn't a good option and that your bucket won't be competitive, in fact if you don't have an off or mechanical issues your results might surprise you. But we recommend taking baby steps where thinking in terms of competition.
